Here are answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions that we receive:
Q. What do I have to do to be on the team?
A. Buy the current year's jersey at a price heavily subsidized by sponsors.
Q. What are the benefits to being on the team?
A. 1) If you enter 4 races, you get reimbursed for your jersey. 2) Very generous discounts from our sponsoring shop for people who race.
Q. I'm not a bike racer. I just like to enter a race or two per year.
A. That makes you a bike racer. We'd love for you to join the team!
Q. What if I'm really bad?
A. Ride with us! You'll get better!
Q. What if I don't ride a Trek or Santa Cruz? Can I still be on the team?
A. Of course.
Q. What if I just bought a bike somewhere else? Can I still be on the team?
A. Absolutely.
Q. What if I don't live in the Bangor/Orono area? Can I still be on the team?
A. Of course.
Q. I plan on using another shop for parts/service this year, but they don't have a race team? Can I still be on the Qualey Granite/Rose Bike team?
A. Yes.
Q. Will the team pay for my entry fees/travel?
A. Probably not. If you are a youth or plan on being on top of the elite class podium... let's talk.
Q. Why are there logos on the jerseys?
A. We proudly wear the logos of local businesses who support area cycling.
Q. What does it take for my business to become a sponsor?
